In the mid 18th century A man from Glasgow, a genius, opens the door to a new age. Engine power will change the face of the world. James Watt wants to control an invisible force.
Near Birmingham, the early industrial metropolis of Great Britain. Once a month by full moon an influential group meet in a factory owner’s house. They secretively call themselves the Lunar Society. The most important scientists and personalities are members. They engage in heavy discussions about scientific progress and visions of the future and have the chance to test out new ideas in a confidential setting.
Watt dies on 19.08.1819 before it all becomes a reality. He lies in a small chapel near Birmingham. Boulton is also buried here. The invisible power of steam, that Watt tried for so long to conquer, is of huge significance even today.
